Luxembourg Orienteering Club will be part of the World Orienteering Week 2024, but it will be very low key – a small event with two or three courses, with a focus on what we call “Family and Friends”, where people can walk round a simple course.
Our target audience is club members with young families, and others wanting to try orienteering for the first time. If we get 40 entries, we will be pleased!
The one thing we are likely to be distinguished for is having the most nationalities at a single World Orienteering Week event!
At one World Orienteering Day event we ran before Covid, we had participants from 14 different countries! It’s because so many people come from elsewhere to work in Luxembourg’s EU institutions or banks.
So if you are in Luxembourg during World Orienteering Week you know what to do!
